IPBFree Shut Down Notice!!!

Brief Recap: Popular software IPBFree shuts down unexpectedly deleting hundreds of forums with no warning.

Today, software provider iPBFree was unexpectedly shut down. Everything from the support forums which now read 'account suspended' to the software itself which ultimately resulted in the irreversible loss of hundreds of forums hosted through the iPBFree software.

iPBFree staff member Tom confirmed the deletion of hundreds of forums hosted via iPBFree and added that everything is "gone forever":

"iPBFree is gone forever and it's not possible to retrieve anything. We're exceptionally sorry, it wasn't planned."

Of course, the backlash from this entire situation will be monumental. Communities were lost, staff were puzzled, and there was zero warning about any of this beforehand. Another iPBFree staff member Catfridrice took to her twitter account to talk about the situation:

"Gonna get a lot of angry emails tonight. Go on ahead, I'm as mad as you are," she said.

The Zathyus News Broadcast caught up with iPBFree member Tom for additional information regarding the closure. Tom stated that he could not divulge any information due to 'legal' reasons, but he did have this to say:

"We had no choice in the matter. We'd never choose to let our users down like this."

Contrary to popular belief and rumor, the closure of iPBFree is not due to internal staff conflict.

"There's been no spat or internal argument. Whoever says otherwise is wrong/just stirring things up. We're all friends," Tom said.
